Rivers Edge Retreat is part of a small community of cottages called Blue Spruce Village.  Blue Spruce Village began life in the 1950's, and possibly earlier, as a fishing camp called Norman's Blue Spruce Cottages.  Visitors have been coming to the area where Rivers Edge Retreat sits for generations to enjoy the natural beauty of Colorado.

The land was purchased in the 1980's and the owners began to build the Country Victorian cottages you see now.  Rivers Edge Retreat is one of the original cottages but was renovated and updated in 2020.

My wife and I visited Estes Park for the first time in May of 2020 when

we brought our daughter to work a summer position at the YMCA of the

Rockies.  We stayed in a cabin on this very river just up the road from

Blue Spruce Village.  We instantly fell in love with the area and all it has to offer so we decided that this was where we ultimately would like to spend time when we retire.

The Rivers Edge cottage was available so we purchased it in July of 2020

and began renovating it that fall.  We consider it to be our home-away-

from-home so we have furnished and supplied it as we would if we were

living there.

We have spent time at Rivers Edge during every season and have enjoyed the different scenery and activities from the thawing of Spring to the outdoor hikes in Summer to Estes Park festivals in Fall to the snow and Christmas in Winter.  There is always something to enjoy!

We hope you will enjoy Rivers Edge as much as we do and please

let us know if there is anything we can do to make your stay a

memorable one.
