Community Code of Conduct

Welcome to Blue Spruce Village (BSV). BSV is community of privately owned homes and is not a commercial property or resort. BSV is a neighborhood of part-time and permanent residents where neighbors respect each other’s privacy and enjoy the peace, tranquility, and beauty of our community. A few of the homes, like River's Edge Retreat, are periodically rented by their owners. Please treat your stay with us as if you are “One of Our Owners,” by respecting our community and our rules.

We ask that you please abide by the following Code of Conduct and Behavior rules for Blue Spruce Village:

Loud gatherings and/or loud music are not allowed. Quiet hours are 10 p.m.- 6 a.m.

The speed limit on ALL roads is 5 MPH. For the safety of all, speeding will not be tolerated.

All home exterior lights are to be shut off once all residents are inside for the evening.

Renters are not allowed to have pets.

All owners, guests, and renters are liable and responsible for themselves. The river is dangerous, as are wildlife. Wildlife must not be approached. All children should be supervised by adults.

Please be courteous and respect the privacy of those using their decks, patios, and outdoor furniture. Use the roads to walk through the community rather than shortcutting between homes. There is a designated path across the bridge to walk along the river.

Park only in designated parking areas. Each home is allowed parking for three vehicles (garage, driveway, and one other space). If the home does not have a usable garage, then there are only two allowed spaces. No parking at any time on the roads, cul-de-sacs, and grass/landscaped areas.

The trash shed is located on the corner of Village Dr & Big Spruce Dr. Due to bear activity, the door must be securely locked and the dumpster lids kept closed. Trash is never to be placed outside of the shed or dumpster.

Recycling is mandatory. Instructions on what is recyclable and recycle bins are located in the trash shed. Owners and guests should take their items to the Recycle Center at 640 Elm St.

Please do not feed the wildlife, large or small, because doing so attracts bears. In addition, do not leave food, drinks, coolers, etc. outside on porches, decks, or driveways because they also attract wildlife.

Owners, guests, and renters are not allowed to park RVs, storage vehicles, and trailers of any size on BSV property. Camping or pitching tents is not allowed.

All garage and entry doors are to be kept closed except when access is required.

People sixteen years of age and older must possess a valid Colorado fishing license to fish in the river. BSV’s rules are to use barbless hooks, and there is a limit of two fish per day per home.

Please do not disturb the riverbed or landscaping, including moving, throwing, or stacking river rocks
